The Curly Hair Salon

Where do I begin?!!! Anyone with curly hair would appreciate a place that knows how to deal with their curls because of how tiring it can be to just get the right style. I came across this salon due to it's great reviews and boy they were not wrong!! The first thing that caught my attention was that every single stylist including the owner is rocking their naturally beautiful curls or locks. I scheduled my first appointment with Thalia and had to rebook to go back in 10 days. They are all very knowledgable and their work is impeccable. I had a curly cut and style. Prices are very reasonable. Thank you so much for the great service! You guys will be seeing me again very soon!

I got partial highlights done with Susie 3 years ago, and since then it has been a nightmare! I have thick 3b hair that I only wear curly- which became dry, brittled, and damaged after my appointment here. After finding a new curly hair stylist to get a few inches chopped off due to the massive damage, she was SHOCKED to learn I never wear my hair straight as she said it looked like I straightened it every day. She said my hair was massively over processed and I have been forced to grow out and continually cut off large chunks of it, with no deep conditioning or hot oil treatments helping. Now over 3 YEARS after this appointment I finally only have 2 inches of the damaged over processed caramel hair left. I am completely dissatisfied by the service at this salon, especially for how expensive it was to get the cut and color. I would not recommend this place to anyone it has taken me over 3 years to get my natural hair back!!!! 0/10 Pictures below show my hair after the appointment, and then my hair 2 months ago where you can see how much tighter and thicker the curls are. And you can see the lighter portion at the bottom (that looks dry and brittle) which is the last of the over processed hair growing out.

Oh my goodness. So this salon actually changed my hair life loll. I came in to get my relaxed hair chopped off. I’ve never been fully natural my whole adult life and so the education they gave me was greatly appreciated. They helped my 4c curls pop and helped me to truly see my natural hair as beautiful and something I truly wanted to flaunt! I truly love my natural hair as it is now with no need to change it and this salon really helped me to see my hairs potential. I have had Lindaysha and Thalia work on my hair now and they both did a superb job. Love this salon and will refer all my curly friends here!

I arrived a little late to my appointment (10 minutes) and was worried they wouldn’t take me. Thankfully, they did and I didn’t have to wait at all once I walked in. I had my hair cut by Luvena the owner, and I absolutely loved the look of the initial cut. She was able to shape it beautifully while still maintaining the length! She also washed my hair really well at the bowl and took her time making sure my scalp was clean and my hair was well defined. But I did not like the final cut I received. Mainly because she cut my bang too short after it had dried and been defused. I think she may not have anticipated how much it would shrink due to my hair type. Leaving me with a weirdly short bang in the front that is only a decent length when freshly done. Because of this, I will rate my haircut 3 stars but the atmosphere 4. My previous bang was longer. Other than that it was a good experience, the music they played was nice and all the hairstylists were kind to the customers as well as each other. Lots of teaching going on and it was great to see. I’m so happy that I decided to get my curly hair cut with The Curly Hair Salon by Luvena Leslie. Crystal Ruiz did an amazing job. My only regret is not buying the products she used. The texture and bounce in my curls were unbelievable! My family was jealous of how happy my haircut made me feel. Thank you for helping me take my self care to another level.
